Prone / Ubjasana

Ubja="lying with the face downwards.' The Prone pose is usually called Advasana, or Adhvasana, Reversed Corpse Posture or Relaxation posture, Sanskrit perhaps from adho- downards, but adva/adhva seem to lack the meaning "prone." Lie face down, legs loosely apart, arms back, palms up, chin grounded.

Variation 1

PART 1: Open your legs wide.

PART 2: Raise your head; stretch your arms wide forward, palms down: tarakasana="falling star."
