Nataraja is Shiva's appellation as King of the Dance (nata="dancer" and raja"king"). From a standing pose, bend slowly forward and raise one leg behind you, bending the knee. Reach behind you, arch your back, capture the raised foot with both hands, and raise it higher.
Variation 1
Release one hand and stretch its arm forward and upward: dandayamana dhanurasana, Standing Bow Pose (dandayamana="standing erect," dhanu="bow").
Now take an overhand hold.
