Tada="mountain". Stand, feet together, arms comfortably at your sides.

Variation 1

Raise your arms to a 45º angle with your torso, palms forward, and pull the arms back.

Variation 2

Raise your arms further, palms forward, to a 90º crucifix position, and pull them back.

Variation 3

Raise the arms further, palms forward, to a 135º angle, and pull back.

Variation 4

Raise your arms straight overhead, palms together, gaze upward, and press your hands high.

Variation 5

PART 1: Reach both arms back and interlace hands (naddhamudra).  Raise the locked hands high....

Variation 5

PART 2: then bend forward, maintaining ior increasing the lift on the locked hands: "Double Angle" pose (Dwikonasana, where dvikona="Two-cornered).

Variation 6

PART 1: Interlace both hands in front of you...

PART 2: and raise them high into the "Bracelets" pose (Valayasana, valaya="bracelet")...

Variation 6

PART 3: then twist your body, first to one side, then to the other (parivritta valayasana).
