Kurma="tortoise." Begin in Arasana. Raise and bend your knees, soles to the floor, elbows at knees and hands at ankles to brace legs open (srajasana, sraja="winding"). Bend forward as far as you can (avanatasana, avanata="bent down.") Slide an arm under each knee, and continue forebend until your upper arms slide beneath your knees and your chest touches the floor; then extend, straighten, and flatten your legs.
